UPDATE 4:30PM ET: GBN Indiana is currently responding to a service-affecting outage in Shelbyville, Indiana, caused by third-party utility work that damaged approximately 10 feet of conduit and fiber near McKay and Miller Road, impacting multiple customers. UPDATE 11:24 PM ET: The dispatched crew continues to work on the fiber cut caused by third-party utility work. ETA for temporary cable is 01:30 AM ET. We will update this notification as further information is obtained. UPDATE 01:20 AM ET 5/30: Field Engineers working the repair to the fiber cut update that the temporary fiber is in place and that the affected customers are back online with it. However, the Field Engineers continue working to get the permanent fiber in place. We will update this notification as further information is obtained. UPDATE 03:00 AM ET 5/30: Field Engineers working the repair to the fiber cut update that the work to place the permanent fiber is halted for the night due to unforeseen underground structures preventing the work to be completed. The temporary fiber line will stay in place and affected customers will remain online. Field Engineers will resume work roughly around midday after obtaining more information from the Utility road construction crew. We will update this notification as further information is discovered.
