SiFi Networks Construction FAQ

  • Who is coordinating the new fiber-optic installations?

The Anatolia HOA has contracted with the Rancho Cordova FiberCity® for installation services.

  • Do I pay the technician for the installation when they get to my house?

No. There is no charge for the home installation.

  • What if I don't want to connect right away? Can I connect later to the network?

GigabitNow fiber Internet will be replacing your current home Internet solution that is included in your HOA benefits, but yes, residents can decide to connect in the future.

  • How do I begin the connection process?

To start the connection process, SiFi Networks, the fiber network builder, needs access to your property. Please complete a Property Access Form.

  • How many home visits will be required to complete the installation and turn on service?

Three visits will be necessary. The purpose of the Step One visit is for the installation technician to review the install process and path into your home. The purpose of the Step Two visit is for the installation team to complete the exterior work for the home installation. The purpose of the Step Three visit is for the installation team to complete the home installation by bringing the fiber into the home, connecting the ONT (modem) and activating your new home Internet service.

  • What can I expect during the Step One visit?

You will be contacted in the coming weeks, once the Property Access Form is completed, to set an appointment for your Step One visit. Someone 18 years of age or older will need to be present. The purpose of the Step One visit is for the installation technician to review the install process and path into your home. Appointments will be scheduled Monday-Friday 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm and 3pm-5pm. Weekends and holidays are not available. The Step One visit will take roughly 15-30 minutes. The installation team will return at a later date to complete Step Two.

  • What can I expect during the Step Two visit?

The purpose of the Step Two visit is for the installation team to complete the exterior work for the home installation. This work will follow the installation process that was reviewed with you in the Step One visit. The resident does not need to be home for the Step Two visit. Typical exterior installations can take up to four hours.

  • What can I expect during the Step Three visit?

In the following weeks after the Step Two visit is completed, you will be contacted to set an appointment for your Step Three visit. Someone 18 years of age or older will need to be present. The purpose of the Step Three visit is for the installation team to complete the home installation by bringing the fiber into the home, connecting the ONT (modem) and activating your new home Internet service. This is the final step and once it is completed your new GigabitNow home Internet will be turned on.

  • Do I have to be home for the installation visits?

Someone 18 years of age or older will need to be on site to give the technician access for the Step One and the Step Three visits. The person whose name is on the order does not have to be the person who is home for the installation visits. Please provide the installer with the name and phone number of the person who will be home for the installation visits when they call to schedule your Step One and Step Three visits.

  • Should I notify the installers if I have animals or other concerns?

Yes, please notify the installers when they call you to schedule your appointments.

  • Will the construction disrupt any of my utilities?

The new home Internet service will be a standalone service that will not interfere with other utilities.

  • Will you need to drill a hole in my house to install the fiber?

Yes, we will need to run the fiber to the inside of the property to connect to the in-home equipment. Please ask the installation technician during your Step One visit for more information. They will be happy to answer your questions.

  • What equipment will be installed at my home?

Skilled technicians will install a small utility junction box on the exterior of your home to protect the fiber. An interior wall jack box will bring the fiber in from the outside. The wall jack will need to be located within 3 feet of an interior power outlet to plug in the ONT (modem). This will be discussed during the Step One visit.

  • Can the ONT be relocated/moved?

The location of the ONT (modem) will be discussed during the Step One visit. Once the ONT (modem) is installed, it will not be feasible to move the connected ONT(modem) past the fiber cable's reach.

  • Can I move the flags in my yard?

Please do not move or remove the flags. The flags are a legal requirement to locate utilities' underground transmission lines, such as gas, water, and electric lines prior to any construction. The flags show where the existing utilities are, assisting the installers to avoid these areas. Once these flags and temporary landscape-safe spray paint appear in your yard, and along the street, construction will follow. Once construction is complete, the flags will be removed

GigabitNow Internet Service FAQ

  • When will service be available?

Construction for Anatolia has begun and SiFi Networks is working diligently to bring fiber to the community as quick as they can. By signing your Property Access Agreement you are beginning your portion of the connection process and ensuring fiber Internet will be available to your home. Timeline updates will be posted to the website shortly.

  • What speeds are going to be available?

A 1 Gig connection (1,000 Mbps upload and download) will be included in your existing HOA dues. GigabitNow will provide options to upgrade to a 2 Gig, 5 Gig, and 8 Gig speed for an additional charge when enrollment opens.

  • When will I be able to enroll for service by selecting my speed and preferences?

Enrollment will be opening soon. Anatolia HOA and GigabitNow will be actively notifying residents when it is available. In the meantime, to begin the connection process, please complete your Property Access Form.

  • What is the difference between the exiting cable service I have today and GigabitNow fiber Internet?

Currently, Anatolia HOA is using an outdated cable connection to bring Internet into your home. SiFi Networks is building an entirely new, state-of-the-art fiber network and will not be using any of the existing infrastructure in Anatolia. Fiber provides significantly faster Internet speeds because it is a glass cord, transmitting your data through light waves. Fiber Internet is the fastest, most reliable Internet option available today, anywhere. Using GigabitNow, you'll be able to use multiple devices all at the same time with no buffering and no data caps! Once the network is built and your home is serviceable you will be able to reach up to 8 Gbps. That is an 8,000 Mbps connection upload and download!

  • Are there any setup fees or hidden charges?

GigabitNow does not charge for installation or setup, and has no hidden fees.

  • How do I keep updated on what is going on with the project?

GigabitNow has set up an Anatolia specific website for updates. Visit GigabitNow's Anatolia HOA website anytime to learn more about the project and feel free to reach out to our 24/7 live customer support with any questions at 866-748-8066. GigabitNow will be reaching out to everyone in the community on a consistent basis with important updates. The website will be updated as the project progresses so check back often!

  • Once I switch to fiber Internet with GigabitNow, what do I use for TV?

If you are using traditional cable television, you can keep the service through your existing cable provider. There are also many options available using a streaming service. You can watch TV live, get all your local sports, and record your favorite shows. YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, Hulu, Netflix and many other streaming services provide these options. Now, with your ultrafast fiber Internet, you can stream all your shows without buffering!

Important Announcement

As previously communicated by the Anatolia HOA president, SiFi Networks has recently experienced unforeseen construction challenges in your neighborhood. The timeline for the completion of the new fiber network will no longer meet Anatolia’s needs, therefore restricting the HOA’s ability to bring on GigabitNow as the primary Internet service provider for the HOA at this time.

However, SiFi Networks continues to build out their new network for Anatolia as part of the Rancho Cordova FiberCity® project. Residents of Anatolia will soon have the option to independently order GigabitNow fiber for their home. Currently, GigabitNow is in a pre-registration phase in Rancho Cordova. All residents can pre-register for GigabitNow fiber Internet by visiting RanchoCordovaFiber.com. Residents that pre-register will receive an email from GigabitNow when pricing and speeds have been launched and we begin taking orders online.

Please note that all completed Property Access Forms have been voided and no action is needed by Anatolia residents.

If you have any questions regarding this change, please call your Anatolia representative at (916) 294-0026 or email Anatolia’s GM, Ashley Soto at manager@anatoliahoa.com.

If you have general questions about GigabitNow, please call us at 1-866-748-8066 or email at support@gigabitnow.com.
